Sorry for the lack of posts this week. It’s been a rough one. The head cold really took a toll on me.
Wednesday Miles had his 2-month checkup and got his shots (3 in his legs and an oral thing that he loved). The first photo is him on the way to the Doctor. Here are his stats:
-Weight: 11 pounds 10 ounces (50%)
-Height/length: 23 inches (75%)
-Head is (77%)…forgot the exact measurement.
So he’s long and skinny with a big brain (just like dad). He handled the shots better than I did. I was crying before the needle even went in. Thankfully Matt was there and held his hands/distracted him during the action. He cried hard during injection and while they put the band aids on his legs but then he was ok. I nursed him a little but it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. He got some extra cuddles that afternoon with mama and Kirky.
Today we went on a walk with our friend Jessie and daughter Addie around Sacramento. After a major (MAJOR) meltdown while I was trying to eat lunch he was fine and napped like a champ in his (moving) stroller for over an hour plus the car ride back to my folks house. This kid does not like his carseat/stroller when it’s not moving. Seriously.
We are back at my parents house now and Miles had some tummy time and back time and some more meltdown time but now is napping. I am thinking about quitting dairy to see if that has anything to do with his fussy times. Fussy is an understatement. But if the dairy helps I’ll do it. He has no other symptoms of a dairy reaction, poops are normal and regular (sorry if that’s TMI). Just the bad/painful gas and the meltdowns. Or maybe it’s just something that will go away with time. I hear things turn around between 10-12 weeks and we are so close to that.
Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and moms-to-be.
